The Stevens County 4-H Council hosted their annual Businessmen’s Appreciation Dinner Sunday, April 26. The Stevens County Medical Foundation has recently donated three backboards to Stevens County Emergency Services.   Rodney Kelling, Emergency Services Coordinator, was on hand to accept the donation. Egg Hunt will be this Saturday!

The Hugoton Lions Club and Hugoton Recreation Commission are hosting their annual Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday, April 4! Children and their parents can gather at the Parsons Sports Complex, west of the 300 block of Washington, before 10:00 a.m. The whistle for the infant hunt – birth to three year olds – will blow at precisely 10:00 a.m. Four to six year olds can start scooping up eggs at 10:05 a.m., and seven to nine year olds will start at 10:10 a.m. Bring your Easter baskets, and don’t be late!

The Hugoton City Council and USD 210 Board of Education Candidate Forum was conducted Monday evening, March 23 at the Hugoton High School auditorium. State Champions!!!

This year marks the hundredth year reunion of all Hugoton High School alumni. In all that time, the school has earned only three State Championships – all in Track & Field in 20-year intervals: 1938, 1958 and 1978. The long dry spell of State banners has at last been broken – the Hugoton High Lady Eagles have brought home a 4A Division II State Championship, winning over Baldwin 68-54!! Read More →
