CARD OF THANKS

A special “Thank You” from the family of Lena Anderson
Our mother passed from this life back in August of this year. Since then, it’s been a time of catching up with bills and family and gathering the memento’s, moving furniture, getting rid of old clothes and making decisions you think mom would have wanted us to do. Most of you know the routine.
Nothing much was left except a lot of family love. Dad passed back in 1986.  Mom was always a homemaker on the old farm and worked odd jobs to help with the bills. None the less, she was blessed by God with family and enough to maintain a very simple, normal lifestyle.
And, praise God, when her health failed to the point of needing nursing help, our community had a wonderful place of solitude for her to go to.
In reflection, our family would like to extend a very special “thanks” to all of the people of Stevens County, her friends and especially to the staff and nurses and cooks and housekeeping; to all those wonderful people at the Pioneer Manor for taking care of our mother. You have helped to complete a 101+ year journey for a lady that has wanted to go home for several years. Well, she’s finally home.
Everyone at the Manor made the trip an easier and a much more pleasant journey in her last years. And, those of you that worked at the Manor and have traveled to other cities and found different
employment, blessings to you for all you have done!
We will not forget you. Our family knew there were many
“harrowing” moments with drugs, Alzheimer’s, broken hip, and a plethora of scrapes, bruises, sickness and much more. I must say that you at the manor, weathered the storm! Very professionally, I might add!
All of you are due a heartfelt Thank You! …. So very much!
Vernon Anderson
