The Seventy-fourth Annual Sorghum Queen Contest is this Friday, July 24 at 7 p.m. It will be held in the gymnasium of the Hugoton Elementary School. Please enter the sixth grade doors on the south side of the building by the intermediate playground. Entrance fee is $5, unless you purchased a band from a contestant.
If you wear your band into the contest, you will not need to pay again. There are many beautiful young ladies in Stevens County and some of them will vie for the title of “Miss Sorghum Queen 2026!”
The Sorghum Queen and her court will be seen the following week helping out at the Stevens County Fair. You will be able to see some beautiful young ladies and watch some excellent talent if you venture out to the Sorghum Queen Contest.
