Hugoton High School’s Winter Homecoming is Friday, January 12. The Eagles will take on the Goodland Cowboys with the varsity games starting at 6:00 p.m. – girls and 7:30 p.m. – boys.

The theme for the Winter Homecoming this year is “We Got that Beat”. The dress up days for the students pre-k – 12 are:

• Monday – Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (pj day)

• Tuesday – Grease – 50’s day

• Wednesday – We are the Champions – favorite team day

• Thursday – Should’ve been a cowboy – western day

• Friday – My house – wear red, white and blue.

The homecoming court candidates are ninth grade attendant Lindy McClure; tenth grade attendant Neftali Tinoco; eleventh grade attendant Eli Rodriguez; senior Queen Candidates Jewels Noland, Danica Amerin and Nicole Bustillos and senior King Candidates Dasean Lewis, Izeyah Harris and Zane Poulsen.

The crowning of the king will be during the pep rally January 12 around 2:45 p.m. and the crowning of the queen will be between the girls and boys game that night. There is a semi-formal dance for the high school students Saturday, January 13.
