Three decades strong, the Thirtieth Annual Brian Lamberson Memorial Run came together with a great turnout of an estimated 150 bikes, Saturday, June 13 at DC’s Last Call.
The ride took off at 2 p.m. and paraded down Main Street, turning west towards the first punch stop in Elkhart, second stop Johnson, third stop Ulysses, fourth stop Moscow and ultimately arriving back to Hugoton.
The organization sold over 400 poker hands, with Scott Ronnie receiving the first-place prize of $3,000 with a straight flush. The
winner graciously donated $500 back to the Dust Bowl Rider organization. The second-place prize of $500 was won by Thomas Covert with a straight, donating back $150. The third-place prize of $250 was won by Jerry Guerrero with a hand of three kings, 7 high.
Seaboard Farms provided the pork for the evening meal, and Gene’s Heartland Foods prepared the meal for everyone to enjoy. A captivating pencil drawing by local art teacher, and Dust Bowl Rider member, Rob Terrell was auctioned off, by the evenings MC/auctioneer Richard Clinesmith, with Doug Martin taking home the artwork.
The Dust Bowl Riders would like to extend a big thank you all the local business partners who graciously donated.
