Longtime Hugoton resident Alfred E. “Eric” Gustafson passed from this life Saturday, April 20, 2013 at his home in Hugoton surrounded by family. He was 76.

The Hugoton High School Lady Eagles wrestlers competed at McPherson at Regionals Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15. Lauren Nix qualified for the 4-A State wrestling tournament in Salina
February 28 and March 1. Lauren is the first girl in school history to qualify for State in wrestling!
In the first round of competiton Friday Lindy McClure went 1-1, Ruby Tinoco went 1-1 and
Lauren went 1-1.
Saturday, February 15 Lindy went 0-1, Ruby 0-1 and Lauren 1-1 which qualifed her for State.
