December’s calendar page is always chock-full of events, and this year is no exception!
Thursday, December 11, the Stevens County Library will host their Recipe Swap from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Call 620-544-2301 for more information.
Hugoton’s Blue and Red Classic basketball tournament will also begin Thursday evening. The Lady Eagles will take the court at 6:30 p.m. and the boys will follow at 8:15 p.m. Both games will be played in the West Gym at Hugoton High School.
Rolla High School will host their annual Showcase Basketball Tournament with games starting at 3:30 p.m. Rolla girls will play at 6:30 p.m. and the boys will play at 8:00 p.m.
Hugoton Aglow will meet one last time for 2014 at 7:30 p.m. at the Hutton Building Thursday evening.
Please remember The Hermes will have early deadline for the December 25 issue at 12:00 noon Friday, December 19.
Jetmore’s United Methodist Church will host their annual “Journey to Bethlehem” Saturday and Sunday, December 13 and 14, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a chili dinner at King Center at 308 Main in Jetmore. Admission is free, and free will donations will benefit five year old Addison Worth.
Barry Ward will perform at the Memorial Hall Saturday evening starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are still available at Jet Drive-In, Stevens County Retail Pharmacy or The Hugoton Hermes. All proceeds benefit the Corey Mirabal Scholarship Fund.
Sherri Leonard at The Comfort Zone will host an Open House at her new location, 204 W. Seventh in Hugoton, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 16. There will be refreshments and a drawing for a 90 minute massage!
Thursday, December 17, the Moscow Senior Center will host their Christmas party. Everyone is welcome to come enjoy dinner and a great party!
Rolla schools will present their Christmas concert Thursday, December 18 at 7:00 p.m. Students from first grade all the way to seniors in high school will participate. Then, Friday, December 19 will be Rolla’s annual Santa Day beginning at 7:15 a.m. with Secret Santa and Birthday Breakfast. Santa Day activities will officially begin at 12:30 p.m.
