Lois Watson is named Super Mom for 2015

Hopefully every mother in Hugoton had a wonderful Mother’s Day this past
Sunday. Lois Watson may have had one of the best, as she is The Hugoton Hermes’ Super Mom 2015! Lois is the mother of Judy Zordel, Fritz Goebel and the late Andree Catlin. Lois has seven grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She won the drawing at White’s Foodliner, where she received a $25 gift card. The Stevens County Medical Foundation has recently donated three backboards to Stevens County Emergency Services.   Rodney Kelling, Emergency Services Coordinator, was on hand to accept the donation. Egg Hunt will be this Saturday!

The Hugoton Lions Club and Hugoton Recreation Commission are hosting their annual Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday, April 4! Children and their parents can gather at the Parsons Sports Complex, west of the 300 block of Washington, before 10:00 a.m. The whistle for the infant hunt – birth to three year olds – will blow at precisely 10:00 a.m. Four to six year olds can start scooping up eggs at 10:05 a.m., and seven to nine year olds will start at 10:10 a.m. Bring your Easter baskets, and don’t be late!
