The local theater is getting a new paint job which really brightens up Main Street of Hugoton. The High Plains Theater is being renovated in order to get it open for movies, concerts, theatrical performances and many other events.

Curtis Crawford is the 2021 Super Dad!! Curtis’ name was originally drawn at Citizens State Bank in the first round of drawings. CSB will be presenting Curtis 20 Gas Capital Dollars as their drawing winner. When all the names were put in the pot for the final drawing of Super Dad at The Hermes, Curtis’ name was drawn out. Being Super Dad is entitling Curtis with the 2021 title and a $50 gift certificate good anywhere in Hugoton. It is donated by the Hugoton Area Chamber of Commerce. Congratulations Curtis!! Other lucky honored dads include Cary Gooch as the lucky winner of a $25 gift card from Equity Bank. Dexter Hittle is the proud owner of a gift packed basket specially created from Sunflower Nutrition. Matt Whitham will be able to enjoy a really great meal served up from the friendly crew at Los Agaves with his $25 gift certificate. Stumpy’s & Co. drew out Cristian Escalera’s name and will be serving him up a fabulous meal when he decides to use his $25 gift card. Sherill Sheldon is the lucky dad that will be getting Acosta’s & Nietos’ $25 gift certificate so he can enjoy a super meal. Bonnie & Clyde Grill and Sports Bar will be awarding A.J. Brechbuhler with a $20 gift certificate and a hat for their super dad. Troy Bolin will be able to pick out something great at Creative Specialties with his $25 gift certificate. Lynnie’s Nest is awarding Jim Murray with a delicious jar of Jan’s Pickles. Gerry Kost can pretty up his yard as he picks from Yardmaster Garden and Gifts’ many choices as he spends his $25 gift certificate. Main Revelation, LLC ‘s lucky dad is Paul Nordyke winning him a $25 gift card he can use to pick out something in their fantastic little shop. Chris Heger is Hugoton Drug’s winning dad garnering him a fun filled gift basket created by the crew. Ismael Sanchez will have a great time picking from all of Flatlanders’ items with his $25 gift certificate. Ghumm’s Auto Center will be attending to Scott Schechter’s vehicle with a free oil change. Scott Ellis will need to visit American Implement and pick from all their great items with his generous $50 gift certificate. Chris Lewis is Bultman Tire Center’s lucky dad winning him a $50 gift certificate which he will for sure be able to put to good use. Tom Wiggins is sure to find something tasty at Slim Pickins. He will be awarded a $25 gift card to use in the store at Moscow. Twisted H Liquor will help their lucky dad, Brent Betsworth find something sure to quench his thirst as he looks to spend his $25 gift certificate. Dan Dan the Magic Man and his sons delighted a crowd on a WINDY day at the Stevens County Library parking lot. He even brought a live dove and rabbit!
