The Hugoton Barbenders just got back from Chapman with lots of hardware from the State Powerlifting meet last Saturday. Chapman won the meet, Hugoton was second and Scott City was third. The Hugoton lifters set three new State records in their lifts.

GIRLS
114 CLASS Aleah Farnum, State Champion!!! New Squat Record of 245 lbs. She was also the overall ratio winner and picked as top lifter of the lightweight division.
BOYS – STATE
RUNNER UP
132 CLASS – First Place Overall Brandon Lopez, First Bench, First Squat, New Squat Record of 385 lbs. Brandon was also the overall ratio lifter of the lightweight division and was picked the top lifter of the division.
140 CLASS – First Place Overall Diego Novelo, State Squat Record in the Squat of 390 lbs. beating the record set last year by Adriel Camacho of Hugoton.
148 CLASS – Kevin Mendez, Third Place Overall
156 CLASS – Soe Lin Heger, First Place Power Clean and Fourth Place Overall.
181 CLASS – Eduardo Tinoco, Fourth Place Overall, First Place Squat at 475 lbs.
PWT CLASS – Aquiles Aguilera, First Place Overall, First Place Power Clean, First Place Bench
Others from Hugoton who competed but did not score were Brandon Gomez, Josue Hernandez and Van Yoder.
