Lots of Activities are planned for this weekend

This weekend, starting with Thursday, will be busy for the area.

Join the residents and staff at Pioneer Manor Thursday, April 27 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at 1711 S. Main Street in Hugoton. They are going to be introducing their innovative program based on the latest research on diet, exercise, sleep optimization, stress reduction, social interaction, and cognitive stimulation for better health. There will be light refreshments served also.

Friday, April 28 High Plains Theatre will feature Comedy Night with comedian K-Von. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. with the show starting at 7:30 p.m. The comedy night is rated for ages 17+. Be sure to go online and get your tickets to the show.

April 28 and 29, Yardmaster Garden and Gifts will have their annual Spring Open House. Yardmaster hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. both days. Be sure to check out their flowering annuals, perennials, vegetable plants, seeds and more.

The Hugoton Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Banquet is planned for Saturday, April 29, 2023. You definitely don’t want to miss it! You do not have to be a Chamber member to attend this event. Meet and Greet begins at 6:00 p.m. with the dinner and entertainment starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Memorial Hall.

At the Banquet, the winners of the five categories will be recognized. The categories include Citizen of the Year, Lifetime Achievement, Business of the Year, New Business of the Year and Charitable Non-Profit Organization. Also the winners of the 2022 Distinguished Service Award will be announced.

The Southwest Kansas Royalty Owners Association’s (SWKROA), seventy- fifth annual meeting will be Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Hugoton Middle / High School Auditorium, located at 115 West Eleventh Street (on State Highway 51), in Hugoton. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m., and the meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m.
