Cast members of the play “A Toby Show” take time to get their picture taken in full costume.

Southwest Friends of the Arts will be presenting “A “Toby Show” this summer for your entertainment. This show brings back an American folk character—Toby, the country bumpkin, who through homespun humor outwits the city slickers. In vaudeville days, this show travelled around as a tent repertoire recreating traditional stories, with colorful renditions.

Starring in the Cinderella story, Toby inserts himself in a surprising role! The freckle faced title role is played by Garry Norton. Mrs. VanUndersquire and her two favored daughters are played by Carol Piper, Stacie Robbins and Jana Crump. The not so favored daughter, “Cindy” is played by Kylie Brummett. The Colonel and his Grandson are played by Cary Gooch and John Little (not pictured).

Show will be June 13 and 14 at Memorial Hall in Hugoton. Tickets available at Yardmaster. Dinner and Show! See you there!
