Saturday, September 11 is the High Plains Music Fest. It is slated to take place at Hugoton’s Dirtona Raceway again this year from 6:00 p.m. until midnight.
Featured artists will be Granger Smith, William Clark Green, Lindsey Lane and Weston Wilkerson. Get ready for an incredible night of Red Dirt Country, Classic Country and Southern Rock. Ticket sale proceeds will benefit local charities.
The High Plains Music Fest will be special this year in honor of 9/11. The fireworks will be larger than ever and at 8:15 p.m.the National Anthem will be played with a fly over. Granger Smith is planning some great pyrotechnics. Glow stick necklaces will be handed out to all the audience for the 9/11 tribute. There will also be an auctiion between the two headliners Granger Smith and William Clark Green. Great items will be in the auction.
Saturday is also the High Plains Fall Fling Vendor and Craft Show at the Eagle RV Park in conjunction with the Music Fest. It is located right across the road from Dirtona Raceway. Vendors will sell their wares all day Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Giant Kites, courtesy of Great American Kites & Events, sponsored by Hugoton Area Chamber of Commerce, will be here again from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
KSCB and National Beef Cornhole tour will be at the Eagle RV from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. It is the last tournament before the finale. Eagle RV is sponsoring it and first place wins $500, second $350 and third $250. In order to enter into the finale you must have participated in all of the cornhole tournaments.
